The Eid holiday prompts a variety of celebrations and travel to Dubai, but all of the excitement has led to some major travel chaos on the Dubai Metro service. The situation led to delays for thousand of riders as technical issue on the Dubai Metro remained unresolved after 2 days of work.

The Metro service was scrambling to coordinate feeder buses to transport stranded passengers ont eh route between Business Bay and Karama. Police were called out to keep the crowds in line and guide passengers to feeder buses amid the tumult. The technical difficulties began on Monday at 5pm and had yet to be resolved by the following evening. Staff at the Karama station refused to elaborate on the nature of the technical problems, but it's clear that the city's transport network was pushed to its limit by the huge Eid crowds.
